During the Museum Night, the Hartmann Factory opens its doors for a special journey through time. Chemnitz tour guide Ramona Wagner slips into the role of the former factory owner's wife and guides visitors through the entire building as Berta Hartmann.

Built in 1864, the Hartmann Factory was once part of Richard Hartmann's globally successful mechanical engineering company. After standing empty for a long time, the building was renovated as one of the urban development projects for Chemnitz 2025 and used as a central visitor and information center during the Capital of Culture year. Today, the Hartmann Factory is an event venue and also houses the offices of the Chemnitz 2025 gGmbH.

Guests at the Museum Night can take guided tours to immerse themselves in the history of the building and its founder, Richard Hartmann, who had a decisive influence on the industrial development of the city of Chemnitz.

In addition, Chemnitz 2025 volunteers will be on site to provide interesting information about the Hartmann factory and its use during the Capital of Culture year.

Guided tours:

7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. (with translation into German sign language)
