Networking event and panel discussion: "International women's power in Chemnitz - perspectives in the world of work"

On Thursday, 26 September 2024, from 16:00 to 19:00 in the studio of Weltecho (Annaberger Str. 24, 09111 Chemnitz), a networking event with a panel discussion entitled "International women's power in Chemnitz - perspectives in the world of work" will take place.
The event, organised by the Gründungsgarage Chemnitz in cooperation with the Comparti project, is aimed at women with an international history as well as interested people who live and work in Chemnitz. The aim is to facilitate an exchange on the challenges and opportunities faced by intercultural women in the world of work, to create networks and to discuss ways of promoting equal opportunities together.
The event will discuss the question of how intercultural women can be better supported in the world of work and how equality in professional life can be promoted at the same time. The event is part of a series focussing on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), in particular SDG 5 (Gender Equality) and SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities). These SDGs aim to promote gender equality worldwide and reduce social inequalities.
Programme schedule:
- 16:00 - 17:00: Arrival and networking over coffee and cake
- 17:00 - 18:00: Panel discussion with inspiring women who will share their experiences and challenges in the world of work in Chemnitz
- 18:00 - 18:30: Moderated Q&A session
- 18:30 - 19:00: Relaxed networking and conclusion
The event will be moderated by Zeran Osman (Exhibition Manager "Offener Prozess", ASA-FF e.V.), with Myla Geipel, Batul Al-Aidi and Jackline Nadler taking part as speakers.
The event offers the opportunity for an intensive exchange and discussion about the future of the working world for intercultural women in Chemnitz.

Access to the event is barrier-free. If you have special needs, please let us know in advance so that we can make the necessary arrangements. The venue is easily accessible via tram line 5 (Moritzhof stop); only a limited number of parking spaces are available.
Film and sound recordings as well as photos will be made during the event and used afterwards. By attending the event, the audience agrees to this.
The Gründungsgarage Chemnitz promotes social entrepreneurship and social dialogue, provides impetus for creative collaboration and raises awareness of social and sustainable issues.
