The Frankenberg Heritage Society is transforming the historic "Nacksche Mann" market fountain into an Easter work of art. The opening will be accompanied by a small celebration, music by the JugendKunstSchule and guided tours of the Frankenberg sculpture trail.
The PURPLE PATH art and sculpture trail presents permanent contemporary sculptures in public spaces and tells stories from Chemnitz and 38 communities in the region. Works by more than 60 artists are on display.
This project is cofinanced by tax funds on the basis of the parliamentary budget of the state of Saxony and by federal funds from the Beauftragte der Bundesregierung für Kultur und Medien (Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and Media), as well as funds from the City of Chemnitz.
