Organ competition, 2nd evaluation round

Every two years, young organists from all over the world demonstrate their skills on Silbermann's baroque organs at the International Gottfried Silbermann Organ Competition and experience the authentic sound of historical instruments.

The encounter with renowned artists and an enthusiastic audience opens doors and makes this competition a memorable experience. The competition is dedicated to the famous organ builder Gottfried Silbermann, who created a unique organ landscape in Freiberg 300 years ago, large parts of which have been preserved to this day.
