Planting festival "Harvest": Planting in Burgstädt

School grounds get an orchard, because sustainability is a top priority at DON BOSCO

The DON BOSCO sustainability base group - a vocational school, youth centre and facility for young people - is made up of pupils and staff from all teaching and learning areas.

The planting campaign creates a meadow orchard on the school grounds and is also integrated into the gardening and landscaping lessons.

At the final planting festival of Gelebte Nachbarschaft, hundreds of apple trees will be planted together in Chemnitz and the Capital of Culture Region from 19 to 26 October 2025.
