Zwickau's green future with Kita Spaßvogel and athletes

Event information

Date & Time

Location

Zwickau, Zwickauer Energieversorgung GmbH

At the final planting festival of Gelebte Nachbarschaft, hundreds of apple trees will be planted together in Chemnitz and the Capital of Culture Region from 19 to 26 October 2025. Get to work, grab a spade and plant the future!

Behind the Zwickau-Süd combined heat and power plant, a small part of a brownfield site will be transformed into a green piece of the future by planting apple trees. Other trees have already been planted here - now apple trees are also moving in and finding a new home in a good neighbourhood.

The Spaßvogel daycare centre will be there, and drinks and a small snack will be provided so that there is plenty of time to celebrate after the planting work. Zwickau's sportspeople will also be planting - the handball players from BSV Sachsen and the footballers from FSV Zwicker e.V. will be there!
