Maleeka has lived in the Ore Mountains for several years. She is doing everything she can to integrate into the region so that her daughters can have a good life. She has learnt a lot about the customs and traditions of the region. She has learnt the language and speaks impeccably perfect German. Every year she celebrates the day she moved into her own flat in Annaberg-Buchholz. Friends, colleagues and new acquaintances are invited to this celebration. Today is the day again. The guests come together, they eat, laugh, discuss and argue.

In this play, the author has woven the voices from the Ore Mountains into a story. She conducted many interviews and listened to people of different ages and from different social contexts. These conversations have resulted in a theatre piece that asks questions such as: What does home mean? What is it like to be foreign? What influence does the history of the region have on us now in the Ore Mountains? Is there a solution to how we want to live here together in the future?
