As soon as the pyramid is pushed, not only does its wheel turn - but so does the anticipation of Christmas!
On Saturday, 29 November 2025, we cordially invite you to the festive opening of the Christmas season.
The programme begins at 4.30 pm with festive sounds from the Zschopau trombone choir. The Lord Mayor will then address a few words to the guests before the children from the after-school centre at Zschopenberg primary school accompany the ceremonial pushing of the pyramid with a poem. Together with the Lord Mayor, the traditional call is then heard: "Push!"
From 5.00 to 5.30 p.m., the after-school care centre of the Grundschule am Zschopenberg will put on an atmospheric programme, which will be crowned with the presentation of gifts for the after-school care centre.
Food and drink will be well catered for: the pupils will offer savoury dishes, while the town council will provide warming drinks.
