In September, the City-Bahn celebrates "150 years of the Chemnitz - Aue - Adorf railway line". There will be special trips on historic railway trains, exhibitions at the stations, family parties and much more. The route also invites visitors to explore part of the Purple Path Capital of Culture project. After visiting two works of art in Chemnitz, the City Railway will take you to Lößnitz - with stops in Thalheim and Zwönitz and thus to a total of 6 works of art on the Purple Path.
This project is cofinanced by tax funds on the basis of the parliamentary budget of the state of Saxony and by federal funds from the Beauftragter der Bundesregierung für Kultur und Medien (Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and Media), as well as funds from the City of Chemnitz.
