"Glück auf!" is the motto at smac one last time. At the end of the exhibition Treasures & Tragedies the musical heritage of the Erzgebirge mining region will be celebrated.

At 6 pm, the Brass Band Sachsen will fill the foyer with its impressive brass sounds. The ensemble consists of 25 brass players and three percussionists. In 2025, the band will be celebrating the musical and cultural links between mining and mining traditions in the UK and Germany.

On this day, the museum will be open until 21:00.

The exhibition at the smac - State Museum of Archaeology Chemnitz brings to light what has been going on underground for thousands of years. It reveals the dark secrets of the miners from the Bronze Age to the 21st century. The exhibition is part of the main programme for the European Capital of Culture Chemnitz 2025
