"Glück auf!" is the motto at smac one last time. At the end of the exhibition “Treasures & Tragedies”, the musical heritage of the Erzgebirge mining region will be presented.

The Tanzensemble Chemnitz e.V. presents miners' and local dances in historical costumes from the Ore Mountains and the surrounding area. Experience the work and creativity of people from a time when mining and the textile industry characterised the region.

The museum is open until 21:00 on this day.

The exhibition at the smac - State Museum of Archaeology Chemnitz brings to light what has been going on underground for thousands of years. It reveals the dark secrets of the miners from the Bronze Age to the 21st century. The exhibition is part of the main programme for the European Capital of Culture Chemnitz 2025
