Under the direction of José Luis Gutiérrez, the Mittelsächsische Philharmonie takes the audience into an extraordinary world of sound in which the organ plays a prominent role and can be experienced in a completely new context. The soloist on the digital organ is Sebastian Heindl, winner of the 2021 Silbermann Organ Competition and now organist at the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church in Berlin.

The centrepiece is Joseph Jongen's 'Symphonie Concertante' - a fascinating work for organ and orchestra. Compositions by Gershwin and Handel round off the programme musically.
