The klezmer circus ensemble Tsirk Dobranotch amazes audiences with its characteristic blend of contemporary circus, atmospheric stories and live klezmer music by the world-famous Dobranotch. As every member of the ensemble has an immigrant background, their new production "Tshemodan" ("Suitcase" in Yiddish) tells a story of wandering, exile and the almost forgotten history of the Jewish circus in Europe. The audience is taken on the artists' journey through aerial acrobatics, clowning and pantomime in the tradition of Yiddish humour, traditional Yiddish dances, spoken personal testimonies and, of course, the characteristic klezmer sound of Dobranotch, which invites you to dance. In the midst of today's political and social chaos, violence and polarisation, "Tshemodan" promotes unity, diversity and resilience through universal stories of movement, music, culture and connection.
