Deep down below the earth lie unfathomable treasures protected by mountain ghosts of every kind. And when it rumbles in the underground experienced mine workers listen carefully: are the ountain ghosts happily stomping or bellowing in anger and resentment?

Jan Deicke is narrating and making music with mischief, passion and as alive as possible, as if his heroes and heroines are telling their stories personally.

The exhibition at the smac - State Museum of Archaeology Chemnitz brings to light what has been going on underground for thousands of years. It reveals the dark secrets of the miners from the Bronze Age to the 21st century. The exhibition is part of the main programme for the European Capital of Culture Chemnitz 2025
