From 29.11. to 07.01. 2024, the Goldne Sonne cultural centre in Schneeberg is presenting the exhibition "The Smoking Chemnitzer:in". Smoking figures designed by students and made by Schneeberg wood designer Markus Weber will be on display. The exhibition will open up space and dialogue about traditions, folk art, representations and marginalised groups. It was developed at the Chair of Intercultural Communication at Chemnitz University of Technology under the direction of Dr Melanie Hühn and is supported by the Chemnitz University of Technology's Capital of Culture Fund (TUCculture 2025). As part of "Maker, Business & Arts", the Goldne Sonne cultural centre and Kulturwerk Schneeberg e.V. have brought the exhibition to Schneeberg. The vernissage will be accompanied by a short lecture by Dr Melanie Hühn.
