What to do with stage materials and props, fabrics and catalogues or with furniture and technology when they are no longer used in cultural institutions?

To answer these questions, a checklist is available for the first time that lists all the legal criteria for a free transfer and answers questions about liability risks, inventory, tax, budget and copyright law. The checklist was developed over the past two years in a Leipzig pilot project together with municipal cultural institutions, specialised offices of the city administration and partners from the law firm Unverzagt Hamburg. It helps not only to think about material cycles, but also to implement them in the future!
