In March, the Nettle Spinning Circle cordially invites you to an agricultural excursion to coincide with the start of the fibre nettle vegetation.

Last year, we successfully established 700 nettles on the SoLaWi farm at Bunten Kuh near Frankenberg. This 3x50m long strip is to be quadrupled this year for further exciting textile ventures. To this end, we are utilising the vegetative power contained in the rhizomes of nettles, which is the root of many a surprising evil in purely decorative gardens.

The so-called cloning of the plants is planned for Sunday 30 March from 10:00 a.m. and can be undertaken in appropriate protective clothing. If you like, you are also welcome to work with bare hands. According to the motto: Many hands = burning end.

The animals and people of the Bunte Kuh farm and the Nesselspinnkreis vom auf weiter flur e.V. are looking forward to welcoming visitors.
