Vernissage: 28 March, 6 pm | Old Post Office, Marktplatz 6, Lößnitz
Upcycling art action week: 28 March to 6 April 2025
Exhibition period: 28 March to 30 April 2025

From 28 March to 30 April 2025, shop windows and empty spaces in the centre of Lößnitz will be transformed into exhibition spaces. Under the title MEHRWERT:SCHÖPFUNG, artists and creative minds will be showcasing upcycling artworks. Upcycling involves recycling old and defective materials to create new objects.

The works are exhibited along an art trail that runs through Lößnitz and culminates in a central exhibition in the Old Post Office. The event will kick off with an upcycling action week from 28 March to 6 April 2025 with workshops, evening events and a programme for families.

The Lößnitz Makers - #diemacherei e.V. association, founded in 2023, brings together the makers behind the Chemnitz 2025 Makerhub in Lößnitz. Creatives, artists, craftspeople, entrepreneurs and representatives of the city of Lößnitz have joined forces to build a place of making. Space is being created to try out new technologies and creative crafts. The association is also committed to promoting media skills and organising cultural events.
