Programme and Projects

A project is part of the Chemnitz 2025 programme or is in the Chemnitz 2025 programme. It is a Chemnitz 2025 project or a project for Chemnitz 2025.
... not part of the Capital of Culture year

Projects are either part of the main programme (Bid Book, Open Calls), a programme cooperation (‘in cooperation with Chemnitz 2025 gGmbH’) or part of the accompanying programme.

The project sponsor (project in the main programme) is a programme partner of Chemnitz 2025.

General

The motto of Chemnitz 2025 is C the Unseen or C THE UNSEEN.

The whole project is called European Capital of Culture Chemnitz 2025
... not Capital of Culture Chemnitz

Or in short form simply Chemnitz 2025
... not KuHa or KHS
... also not Chemnitz2025 or Chemnitz 25

The European Union awards the title of European Capital of Culture
... not Capital of Culture (without ‘Europe’)

If the term European Capital of Culture is used in short form, then only after the formulation with Europe/European has already been used!

 

The title was awarded to the city of Chemnitz. The 38 partner municipalities form the Capital of Culture region
... not cultural region

The Capital of Culture year or title year begins with the grand opening on 18 January 2025
... not ‘the Capital of Culture’

The partner municipalities are located in Central Saxony, the Zwickau region and the Ore Mountains

This project is cofinanced by tax funds on the basis of the parliamentary budget of the state of Saxony and by federal funds from the Beauftragter der Bundesregierung für Kultur und Medien (Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and Media), as well as funds from the City of Chemnitz.
