The Richard Hartmann History Tour

On the trail of the railway pioneer of Saxony: a guided bus tour

The bus tour focused on the life and work of Richard Hartmann.
The tour began at the Hartmann factory, continued via Kaßberg to key locations in his career and his grave monument. In Euba, a stop at the former dam of the Deutsche Reichsbahn provided an opportunity for a lunch break. The tour concluded with a guided visit to the Saxon Railway Museum.

The tour highlighted Chemnitz's great industrial history using Hartmann as an example and pointed out the city's importance as an industrial location in the past, present and future.
