The project connects generations and fashion: tailors, formerly active in the GDR, reactivate their craftsmanship to develop and produce new fashion creations together with young people. This collection is presented in public spaces in fashion shows, exhibitions and performances. It makes reference to regional history. Workshops are held from February to June, followed by exhibitions and presentations until the end of November. The Europe-wide fashion label UNKNOWN BASICS from Chemnitz, the Faculty of Applied Arts in Schneeberg and the Textile Hub in the Esche Museum in Limbach-Oberfrohna are supporting the project, as are numerous regional businesses and former production sites.
