The festival THEATER DER WELT is coming to Chemnitz - become a part of it!
We are looking for participants for the project LOS JUEGOS x Oxymoron by Checho Tamayo. The Colombian performance artist asks: What happens when people who don't know each other invent new games together? When it's not about winning, but about taking part? When rules are not fixed, but are created together?
In a five-day workshop, you will come together with Checho to develop new games that combine movement, football, dance and ritual. No previous experience in sport, dance or theatre is necessary. What is important is curiosity, openness and the desire to try something out together with others.

All Chemnitz residents aged 18 and over are welcome to take part - regardless of age, origin, language or previous experience. The workshop will be held in German, English and Spanish.

The "LOS JUEGOS x Oxymoron" project is part of the THEATER DER WELT Chemnitz 2026 festival and is being organised in collaboration with Asa-ff and Athletic Sonnenberg.
THEATER DER WELT is Germany's largest festival for international stage art and takes place from 18 June to 5 July in Chemnitz. The programme includes 33 plays from all continents, plus a free supporting programme with talks, concerts and DJs in the garden of the Spinnbau.
