From 22 May 2025 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon, an additional Dancing Neighbours training session will take place on Schillerplatz. Due to high demand and a growing waiting list, an open-air session will be offered every Thursday. Anyone who likes to move, is curious or simply wants to watch is welcome. The project focuses on non-verbal exchange through shared movement and creative expression. Dance becomes a language for cohesion, visibility and participation - for all generations.

Dancing Neighbours is an intergenerational dance project by Team Generation of the European Capital of Culture Chemnitz 2025. The project combines contemporary and urban dance with improvisation and brings together people of different ages, backgrounds and levels of experience - from amateurs to professionals. The focus is on older people in particular, whose creative expressiveness is made visible in public spaces.
