Mastering the challenges of the future together: young and older people create culture together, create art, play sport, invent, make things, celebrate - and share experiences. Team Generation creates a program that involves different generations, picks up on their perspectives and brings them together.
The aim is to bring local generational issues into the European dialog, to involve them in the programme process and to interest local and European partners in joint project work in Chemnitz. With the public call for proposals "Celebrating Generations!", it brings local actors with a focus on generation-sensitive topics into the Chemnitz 2025 program.
The Generation team organizes workshops, interventions and events in the Capital of Culture region for all age groups. For example, an ongoing, interactive dance and movement workshop for older people is already taking place, while the CREATE U participation format gives younger people in particular the opportunity to implement their own ideas in the Chemnitz 2025 programme. In order to develop the programme sustainably, the Generation team works closely with the existing structure of project sponsors, institutions and city and state administrations.
