A second helping! Big Jump Chemnitz 2025 I Former river pool Altchemnitz

On 20 July, in addition to 13 July, the former Altchemnitz riverside baths will be opened for recreational bathing with an extended programme.

With the "Big Jump Chemnitz 2025", Chemnitz is taking part in the annual Europe-wide river bathing day for the first time. Based on the experience gained on 13 July, an extended programme will be offered on 20 July at the newly designed city-by-the-river intervention area "former river bath Altchemnitz" in the southernmost part of the city park with bathing access to the Chemnitz:

  • Relaxation in the city park
  • Pictures of the old river pool
  • Swing&Jazz with Mr Music
  • Big Jump photo in the Chemnitz around 4 pm
  • 1. Prize of the painting competition: a changing tent
  • Painting and handicrafts "We by the river"
  • Waffle ice cream
  • Survey on river bathing
  • Special: The Chemnitz bathing song

It will be a familiar, cosy afternoon in light, air and water.

Please bring along: Picnic & blanket/folding chair, possibly also swimwear (bathing shoes recommended) and play equipment (badminton etc.). Individual music-making possible (unplugged).
