With the "Big Jump Chemnitz 2025", Chemnitz is taking part in the annual Europe-wide river bathing day for the first time. Based on the experience gained on 13 July, an extended programme will be offered on 20 July at the newly designed city-by-the-river intervention area "former river bath Altchemnitz" in the southernmost part of the city park with bathing access to the Chemnitz:
- Relaxation in the city park
- Pictures of the old river pool
- Swing&Jazz with Mr Music
- Big Jump photo in the Chemnitz around 4 pm
- 1. Prize of the painting competition: a changing tent
- Painting and handicrafts "We by the river"
- Waffle ice cream
- Survey on river bathing
- Special: The Chemnitz bathing song
It will be a familiar, cosy afternoon in light, air and water.
Please bring along: Picnic & blanket/folding chair, possibly also swimwear (bathing shoes recommended) and play equipment (badminton etc.). Individual music-making possible (unplugged).
