Chemnitz author Stefan Tschök is visiting all 38 cities and municipalities along the Purple Path in 2025. He will not only be presenting his book "What? Chemnitz?!", a tongue-in-cheek instruction manual for the Capital of Culture. Tschök also wants to enter into dialogue with the residents: What do local residents actually get out of the Capital of Culture title? What do they get out of it - and how can they get involved?
These questions will be at the centre of the panel discussion, in which expert guests from the town will always provide answers - and the audience is also expressly invited to take part. In addition to Tschök, the Hospitalkirche St. Georg in Lößnitz - the art and pilgrimage church - will also have its say: Raphael Weiß, pastor of the parish of Lößnitz-Affalter, and the mayor of Lößnitz, Alexander Troll. Of course, the Purple Path artworks in the town will also be discussed. In addition to "The Universe in a pearl" by Rebecca Horn, at the foot of which the event will take place, these are the oversized porcelain vessels by Uli Aigner from the "One Million" series.
