From 3 to 5 October 2025, the Schauplatz Eisenbahn in Chemnitz invites you to a varied programme for the whole family.
On Friday, 3 October, the day begins at 10:30 a.m. with a family tour for young and old explorers. The SchauplatzExpress and the field railway will be running throughout the day. There will also be an opportunity to visit the driver's cab of E 254 059-9 for the first time. Steam locomotive 44 1338 can also be explored. Creative works such as flower pots, jars of lights and collages will be created in the craft centre. A wide range of catering will be provided for your physical well-being.
On Saturday, 4 October, the family tour will also take place at 10:30 am. In addition to the SchauplatzExpress, field railway and cab tour of steam locomotive 44 1338, visitors can experience a model railway layout in H0 gauge. This time, flower pots, jars of lights, easels and collages are on the programme at the craft station. Catering will also provide refreshments on this day.
On Sunday, 5 October, the family tour starts again at 10:30 am. All day long, the SchauplatzExpress, light railway and a tour of steam locomotive 44 1338 invite visitors to explore. Creative work on keyboards, light jars, easels and collages can be done in the craft centre. Culinary delights are also on offer.
