Chemnitz, a city with a deeply rooted hip-hop and breaking scene, is preparing for the highly anticipated dance event ‘Line of Attack’ - a spectacular battle that not only brings together the best breakers in the world, but also celebrates the creative spirit of the scene.

This event has been taking place for many years now, constantly setting new trends and attracting young and experienced dancers from all over the world. ‘Line of Attack’ goes beyond a purely sporting competition. It is a platform that promotes cultural and dance exchange and makes it possible to experience breaking in its most diverse form. It is not just about medals or rankings, but about creative expression and the courage to push the dance style forward with new ways of thinking.

‘Line of Attack’ focuses on authenticity and the promotion of underdogs from the scene who are often overlooked. Since the first edition, there has been a special focus on presenting dancers from the underground scene - those who are not always in the spotlight but who have significantly shaped the development of breaking.

Past events have shown how strong the interest and enthusiasm of spectators in Chemnitz is. The city, which still stands in the shadows of the major metropolises with its own up-and-coming breaking and hip-hop scene, is becoming increasingly open-minded and proud of its local culture from year to year. The event has established itself as a highlight in Chemnitz's cultural calendar, inspiring not only dancers and breakers, but also those interested in culture and uninvolved spectators.

The event offers enough space to present the diversity of the breaking scene in Chemnitz. With the premises of Club Atomino emphasising the special flair of the dance battle, ‘Line of Attack’ is an event that blurs the boundaries between dance, culture and community.

‘Line of Attack’ is not just a dance battle, but a cultural statement that inspires and connects both performers and spectators alike.

The event is supported by the European Capital of Culture Chemnitz 2025 gGmbH. Funded by the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media, the Free State of Saxony and the City of Chemnitz.
