Programme:
Wild spinning with nettle fibres
The plant fibre enthusiasts Franziska Weiß, Elisabeth Püschmann and Patrick Will will be presenting their current techniques and the value chain of their stinging nettle enterprises for visitors to join in and experience. During the nature market, anyone interested can learn how to break and extract nettle fibres and then spin and twist them with a hand spindle. Materials and tools will also be provided to make your own hand spindles quickly and easily.
Cyanotype - works of art with light and water
Together with Bia, participants will discover the fascinating world of cyanotype, a historical printing process in which light-sensitive materials and UV light are used to create unique blue prints. They learn about both the technical and creative aspects of this process - and go home with their own special works of art.
A combination of traditional craftsmanship and modern techniques is realised in the "From beam to piece" mini-workshop, when individually designed and laser-cut stamps are given their finishing touches in the wood workshop.
A weaving workshop will be set up for all those young and old who enjoy traditional handicrafts. A dozen weaving frames are available to realise individual projects - and of course individual weaving frames can be made from nature.
The 3D printers provide new bunny populations that can be hidden and found in the garden of the Lehngericht.
At the garden counter and in the communal kitchen, a delicious and colourful spring kitchen will be created together. Herbs are collected in the Anna and Lehngerichts gardens and used to conjure up various delicacies such as herb butter and bread, as well as savoury spreads for fresh waffles.
