‘Latin American Heart Day’ is a vibrant celebration of cultural diversity, inviting people of all ages to discover and experience the colours, sounds and traditions of Latin America together.

On this special afternoon, the Weltecho is transformed into a place of encounter, exchange and cultural participation. Visitors can look forward to a varied programme featuring live music, dance performances, communal celebrations and the chance to discover different facets of Latin American cultures.

Music and dance are a central part of cultural life in many Latin American countries. That is why they are also at the heart of this event. Artists from different cultural backgrounds present traditional and contemporary forms of expression and invite the audience to join in, listen and enjoy.

In addition to the stage programme, the event provides a space for people from different backgrounds to meet and engage in dialogue. The aim is to promote mutual understanding, build cultural bridges and highlight the diverse contributions of the Latin American community in Chemnitz and the surrounding region.

Parts of the programme will be presented in two languages (German/Spanish). The event is family-friendly and open to anyone interested. Visitors are invited to discover the cultural diversity of Latin America through music, dance, socialising and celebrating together.
