THE CARS WE LIKE started last year in Vienna, and now an edition is coming to Chemnitz. Here, mobile sculptures with a do-it-yourself aesthetic are created live in front of the audience. The FUTURAMA°LAB creates alternative versions of technological progress by creatively exploring the circular economy, environmental change and social justice. With humorous workshops and interventions, it aims to initiate a rethink so that daily movement in our environment is fun and healthy again.

From 28 June to 5 July 2025, artists Rainer Prohaska (founder of FUTURAMA°LAB) and Kilian Jörg will be building mobile sculptures in the form of sustainable fantasy cars in the #3000Garagen exhibition together with local supporters and participants. The focus is on three topics: transport, soil sealing and siestas.
