History of Citizens

A multimedia exhibition about the lives of others

Credit: Ulrike Schell (Bikini Kommando)

All over Europe there are older people who have lived through the upheavals of the 20th century. Last year, school pupils in Chemnitz and the Capital of Culture region, as well as in Nova Gorica in Slovenia and Gorizia in Italy – which together are partner cities of the Capital of Culture in 2025 – spoke to elderly people about their lives. The resulting exhibition documents and presents these stories so that they are not forgotten and future generations can learn from their experiences.
