The Betonblühen youth festival took place from 8 to 12 October at various locations in Chemnitz. Every Thursday from 5 to 7 pm, young people met in the Chemnitz 2025 Open Space (Schmidtbank-Passage, Hartmannstraße 5, 09111 Chemnitz) to prepare for the festival.

Grey electricity boxes in Chemnitz were transformed into colourful works of art! Creative workshops brought colour to the city and invited people to join in.

A creative meeting place was created in Chemnitz: GARTEN 7 offered music, art and encounters in the Capital of Culture year 2025.

The United Club Convention was all about music and club culture! DJ workshops started in February, followed by beatmaking, lighting technology and sound.
During the Betonblühen festival, the OstVISION youth conference offered the opportunity to develop ideas for the Capital of Culture Chemnitz together with other young people. Here, young people were able to shape their vision of the East and have a say in the creative process.
