Garden colonies mostly emerged in European cities in the course of industrialisation and the development of the labour movement. Later, in socialist times, people still grew vegetables and cultivated fruit trees, but the gardens also offered open and creative spaces. For one day, the Kappler Hang allotment site becomes a creative space that combines nature and culture.

GARDENS*: Saga of Traffic Lights and Dirt is an invitation to a world that has exhaled - and remained. You can't return to the Garden of Eden, but you can enter other gardens. Not perfect, but possible. Interwoven with the memory of the first ripe apricot. Of the whispering of its inhabitants. Of song. Of the silence. And of the earth that connects them all.

An experience created not for admiration, but simply for being.
Without perfection. Without haste. Very slowly. With depth.
