Generous neighbourliness invited people to look beyond their own horizons: what do the others actually do? By discovering and experiencing unexpected commonalities in projects, values such as respect, tolerance and solidarity in living together were to be made tangible. Promoting democracy through art and culture, participation and long-term commitment - how does a living neighbourhood come about?
