Team Generation
Mastering the challenges of the future together: young and older people create culture together, create art, play sport, invent, make things, celebrate - and share experiences. Team Generation created a programme that involved different generations, took up their perspectives and brought them together.
The aim was to bring local generational issues into the European dialogue, to involve them in the programme process and to interest local and European partners in joint project work in Chemnitz. With the public call for proposals "Celebrating generations!", it brought local stakeholders with a focus on generation-sensitive topics into the Chemnitz 2025 programme.
The Generation team organised workshops, interventions and events in the Capital of Culture region for all age groups. For example, a dance and movement workshop was held for older people, while the CREATE U participation format gave younger people in particular the opportunity to implement their own ideas in the Chemnitz 2025 programme.
In order to develop the programme sustainably, the Generation team worked closely with the existing structure of project sponsors, institutions and the city and state administration.
