100 years, three levels and more than 400 objects: the current anniversary exhibition of the Kunstsammlungen Chemnitz (art museum Chemnitz) a representive selection from the large collection is on display. Under the title “In the Dawn of the Republic”, numerous works will be examined and a wide-ranging insight will be offered under a wide range of different themes. The opening weekend was a great success with about 1,500 visitors. We as Team Chemnitz 2025 were also present. The exhibition will be open until 25 October.
From the 15th of August, an interventionmin public space “Gegenwarten – Presences” will also be opened. 20 artists and collectives will be working with different spaces in the city and on social themes.
